Halloween 2010

This year for Halloween the kids trick or treated in the neighborhood. We walked what felt like for hours, but they collected a bag full of candy....each! I have candy for the next two years! Here are some fun pics from this Halloween weekend. . .

Duke City Swim Meet

Here are some pics I took from J's first swim meet, held at the West Mesa Aquatic Pool in Albuquerque, NM. We had to be at the pool at 8 a.m. Saturday in order for him to warm up. The meet started at 9 a.m. His first race was the 50 yard Freestyle which he took 8th place in. The second race was the 25 yard Backstroke, which he took 2nd place, and the third race of the day was the 50 yard Breaststroke, which he took 6th place. He did very well for his very first swim meet. We were so proud of him!

A helpful reminder: E stands for Events, H stands for Heat and L stands for the Lane he would be swimming in. He was so proud of this! Kept showing it to me and Dad.

Duke City Swim Meet #2

Here is a video of J's breaststroke heat. He was in lane 8 and came in 6th place. This one is a little tougher for him. Also, when he hit the water his goggles got all messed up but he didn't stop to fix them, he kept on going! Enjoy!

Duke City Swim Meet

Here is a video of J's first swim meet this past Saturday. This is from the backstroke heat. It was a 25 yard race and he was in the 5th lane. He came in 2nd place!!! He swam great! Enjoy!

2010 Balloon Fiesta

We got up super early on Saturday morning to head on out to Balloon Fiesta park for the Massive Launch of the hot air balloons. We parked at the Park-n-Ride and headed to the park. We got to see the night glow as it was still dark out and at dawn they started launching all the balloons. It was a grand sight to see!

There were some brightly colored balloons. But the specialty shapes were our favorites. Check out the Wells Fargo Balloon. It was HUGE!
